Bushwalking

Bushwalking – also referred to as hiking, rambling, tramping or trekking – is one of the most popular forms of outdoor recreation and can be enjoyed by everyone, from small children to seniors.

In Western Australia, bushwalking (hiking) trails are graded from 1 to 5, where 1 is the easiest and 5 is the hardest. An additional grade – 6 – is for unmarked routes that require high levels of fitness and navigation experience. All abilities and inclusive trails also provide opportunities for people with limited ability.

The Great Southern has some of the best hiking in Western Australia, with trails that suit all ages and abilities.
