Refund Policy

RESOURCES
Outdoors Great Southern provides refunds or exchanges for resources that have a problem or fault.

WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS

Outdoors Great Southern provides full refunds or fully equivalent exchanges to participants who register and pay for workshops or events which are cancelled by Outdoors Great Southern due to lack of demand or exceptional circumstances.

Outdoors Great Southern provides refunds on the following basis to participants who register and pay for workshops or events and who then notify their cancellation to Outdoors Great Southern in writing:

  • for cancellations notified to Outdoors Great Southern in writing more than 7 days before the date of the workshop or event, a 95% refund will be made.
  • for cancellations notified to Outdoors Great Southern in writing 7 days or less before the date of the workshop or event, no refund will be made. However, if the cancellation is related to a COVID-19 infection or a government directive, the COVID-19 Cancellation Policy applies.

Refund decisions will be notified to applicants within 10 working days of receipt of the application for refund. Refunds may only be paid to the refund applicant and may not be transferred to third parties.

COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY

For workshops or events which are one day or less in duration

(a) If a customer or family member is infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If the customer or a family member living within the same household becomes infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the customer advises Outdoors Great Southern in writing prior to the start date of a workshop or event, a 95% refund will be made.

(b) If a Federal or State Government directive requires that the workshop or event must be cancelled

If the workshop or event must be cancelled due to a Federal or State Government directive, and notice of this directive is received prior to the workshop or event start date, a full refund will be made.

(c) If Outdoors Great Southern experiences a lack of staff availability due to COVID-19 and determines that a workshop or event must be cancelled

If a program cannot be delivered due to staff illness or isolation as a result of COVID-19, a full refund will be made.

For multi-day workshops or events that have not commenced

This includes the Kids Adventure Club.

(a) If a customer or family members is infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19) BEFORE a multi-day workshop or event has commenced

If the customer or a family member living within the same household becomes infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the customer advises Outdoors Great Southern in writing prior to the start date of the workshop or event, a 95% refund will be made.

(b) If a Federal or State Government directive requires that the workshop or event must be cancelled

If the workshop or event must be cancelled due to a Federal or State Government directive, and notice of this directive is received prior to the workshop or event start date, we will endeavour to postpone or reschedule. If this is not possible, a full refund will be made.

(c) If Outdoors Great Southern experiences a lack of staff availability due to COVID-19 and determines that a workshop or event must be cancelled

If a program cannot be delivered due to staff illness or isolation as a result of COVID-19, we will endeavour to postpone or reschedule. If this is not possible, a full refund will be made.

For multi-day workshops or events that have already commenced

This includes the Kids Adventure Club.

(a) If a customer or family members is infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19) AFTER a multi-day workshop or event has commenced

If the customer or a family member living within the same household becomes infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19) after a multi-day workshop or event commences and the customer can no longer participate, a credit note will be issued for the balance of days not attended, less a 5% administration fee. For example, the customer cannot attend one day of a six day program – a credit note is issued for 17% (1/6) of the ticket price less 5%. The credit note will be valid for up to 6 months after the original workshop or event date. The credit can be used towards a future workshop or event.

(b) If a Federal or State Government directive requires the workshop or event to be cancelled and notice is received AFTER the workshop or event has commenced

If the workshop or event must be cancelled due to a Federal or State Government directive, and notice of this directive is received after the multi-day workshop or event has commenced, we will endeavour to postpone or reschedule the workshop or event. If this is not possible, a credit note will be issued for the balance of days not attended less a 5% administration fee. For example, the customer attends three days of a six day program – credit note is issued for 50% (3/6) of the ticket price less 5%. The credit note will be valid for up to 6 months after the original workshop or event date. The credit can be used towards a future workshop or event.

(c) If Outdoors Great Southern experiences a lack of staff availability due to COVID-19 and determines that the workshop or event must be cancelled

If the workshop or event must be cancelled due to staff illness or isolation as a result of COVID-19, we will endeavour to postpone or reschedule the workshop or event. If this is not possible, a partial refund equivalent to the remaining balance of days will be issued. For example, the customer attends two days of a three day program – a refund will be issued for 33% of the ticket price.

This statement does not remove your right to take further action under Australia’s consumer protection laws.
