Upgraded and lengthened Harewood Trail Now Open

The Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) is pleased to announce that construction of the extension to the Harewood Trail in the Harewood State Forest on Scotsdale Rd, Denmark is now completed. This upgrade is one of many listed in the Great Southern Regional Trails Master Plan.

The original out-and-back 1.2km walk trail from the carpark to the Scotsdale Creek has been increased to 2.8km and is now a loop trail bringing walkers back to the car park on Scotsdale Rd. The trail is classified as a Class 3, which means it is suitable for most ages and fitness levels, is dog friendly and can be done in an hour.

The project was awarded to a new local Denmark trail building company, Monkey Rock MTB Co.
