Extraordinary Experiences Mentoring Program

GSCORE training workshop experience development

Do you have a great idea for a tourism business?

Are you looking to expand your tourism business into new markets?

Do you want to learn how to harness the power of customer emotions to grow your business?

The “Turning Good Ideas into Extraordinary Experiences” mentoring program will help new and existing tourism business owners to take their tourism product and turn it into an awe-inspiring, positive, word-of-mouth, holiday-of-a-lifetime experience.

In this 12-week mentoring program, you will work with tourism industry professionals to create memorable tourism products. Through workshops and one-on-one mentoring sessions you will address the following topics:

  • Customer emotions – how do they FEEL about your product?
  • Stimulating the five senses
  • What is your “WOW!” moment?
  • Who is your ideal customer?
  • Developing “buyer personas”
  • What stories best connect with your customers?
  • Using different storytelling techniques to capture your customer’s imagination

Supported by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) and the ANZ Seeds Fund, this mentoring program is open to business owners (or aspiring business owners) whose business activities are based in the hinterland shires of the Great Southern (Broomehill-Tambellup, Cranbrook, Denmark, Gnowangerup, Jerramungup, Katanning, Kent, Kojonup, Plantagenet, Woodanilling).

The program begins 20 August 2018 and runs for 12 weeks. Participants must commit to attending three half-day face-to-face workshops and six mentoring sessions (telephone and/or video-conferencing).

Places in the program are limited and participants will be selected through a competitive process. To register your interest in participating in the program, please complete the attached GSCORE_Experience_Mentoring_Program_Application_Form.

Applications close 5pm on 3 August 2018.
